Canadian Honda Plant Earns Bronze Americas Award in J.D. Power’s 2025 Initial Quality Study

- The Honda CR-V Hybrid is Canada’s best-selling hybrid SUV
- Honda Odyssey, Acura Integra and Acura RDX also earned the top IQS awards in their respective segments.
Honda of Canada Mfg. (HCM) Plant 2 has received the Bronze Plant Award for the Americas in J.D. Power’s 2025 Initial Quality Study. HCM’s Plant 2 is Honda Motor Company’s best-performing plant in North America based on the study’s report of the fewest manufacturing-related defects or malfunctions per vehicle. Additionally, three vehicles – the Honda Odyssey, Acura Integra and Acura RDX – earned top IQS awards in their respective segments.

Honda of Canada Mfg. began operations in 1986 at its Plant 1 site and opened its Plant 2 facility in 1998. The second line has assembled a variety of Honda and Acura vehicles over the years, showcasing Honda’s reputation for flexible manufacturing. Plant 2 played an important role in supporting Honda’s global manufacturing debut of the full-size Honda Odyssey in 1998, Acura MDX in 2000, Honda Pilot in 2002, Honda Ridgeline in 2005 and the original Acura ZDX in 2009, before becoming home to the Canadian production of the CR-V in 2011.
