Honda Canada Finance Inc. (HCFI) is pleased to announce the appointment of Steve Hui as President, Honda Canada Finance Inc., effective April 1, 2026. Steve becomes the first Canadian in HCFI’s almost 40-year history to hold this prominent role, succeeding Masahiro Nakamura, who will become Managing Director, Honda Finance Co., Ltd. (Japan). Steve currently serves as Vice President, Financial Services and Risk Management Officer for HCFI. This organizational change supports Honda’s continued commitment to delivering exceptional value to our customers and partners, while reinforcing our leadership within the Canadian automotive industry.

With 26 years of experience at Honda, Steve built his career through progressive leadership roles spanning sales, marketing, and field operations. He most recently managed HCFI’s portfolio of 450,000 accounts. He also serves as Chair of the Honda Canada Foundation. Prior positions include Assistant Vice President of Honda Sales, and General Manager for Western Canada. Steve is a graduate of the Automotive Marketing Program at Georgian College.
As President of HCFI, Steve will lead the implementation of HCFI’s 2030 Vision, focused on providing customers with innovative, flexible, and responsible financial solutions that emphasize simplicity and convenience. Through the endorsement of strategic initiatives designed to attract and retain customers, HCFI aims to advance its core objective of achieving Customer Lifetime Loyalty.
