This position is responsible for performing general vehicle repair and maintenance functions in order to ensure vehicles run efficiently. Parts Specifier

Job duties include receiving daily orders, bin counts, and ensuring proper handling of parts within the department. Knowledge of tire sales is a definite asset as well.

Reporting to the Controller you will work closely with the management and be responsible for:

  • Performing all duties related to Payroll – creating, processing and finalizing pay cycles / managing benefits & deductions / vacation pay / government remittances / year end processes up to and including T4’s
  • Administer day to day processes within the DealerPILOT HR program and ensure compliance
  • Performing all duties related to Accounts Receivable – statement creation, collection, payment processing

  • Assist Administration staff with day to day processes

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years accounting experience in a dealership

Service Advisor

Richmond Hill Honda has an immediate opening for a full-time Service Advisor.

What we are looking for:

The successful incumbent is an experienced professional who quickly builds rapport with customers and can successfully multi-task in a busy and dynamic Service Department. The successful incumbent must be available to work alternating Saturdays to support the needs of our customers. The role reports to our Service Manager

Service Advisor Responsibilities

  • Greeting customers on the phone or in person
  • Scheduling appointments
  • Explaining the nature of repairs to customers, liaising between the technician and the customer
  • Providing repair recommendations to customers
  • Advising customers how to maintain their vehicle
  • Selling parts & labour
  • Providing an extraordinary experience for all customers
  • Utilizing Honda corporate programs when required
  • Providing updates and escalating issues, when required, to the Service Manager

Service Advisor Requirements:

  • Must have a valid Canadian driver’s license with a clean record.
  • An Advisor who interacts with customers in a kind, empathetic and professional manner
  • Ability to handle a high volume of customers/appointments without sacrificing accuracy
  • Ability to build rapport with customers
  • Detail oriented and highly organized

Automotive Apprentice

Richmond Hill Honda is looking for a Full-Time dedicated Automotive Apprentice to join our team.

What We Are Looking For:

This position reports to the Service Manager. The successful candidate must be hard working and eager to learn, has a valid G license and willing to work Saturdays. This job includes entry level type services such as oil changes, tire repairs and installs, factory recommended maintenance and other jobs inline with the experience, other duties including general shop housekeeping and equipment care is also expected. – Second or Third year preferred.

Automotive Apprentice Responsibilities:

  • In this role, we are looking for a team player that works well with others.
  • You would be expected to be proficient at performing standard mechanical repairs, such as oil changes, brake work, and tire and wheel related tasks.
  • Testing vehicles before and after repair procedures.
  • Help the team in keeping the shop and equipment clean and well-organized.

Automotive Apprentice Requirements:

  • Completion of LEVEL 1 Schooling
  • Must have a valid Canadian driver’s license and be able to drive both manual and automatic vehicle transmission types.
  • Strong fundamental understanding of automotive mechanics.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Physically fit, be able to be on your feet for long hours, as well as be able to easily lift heavy items such as wheels and tires.
  • Availability to work Saturdays
